Man wanted for qualified rape arrested in Taguig

Police nabbed a 52-year-old man wanted for qualified rape and listed as the No. 4 most wanted person in Taguig on Oct. 1. 

Alias Randy was arrested at his residence in Katipunan Village, Barangay Western Bicutan, on the strength of a warrant issued by Presiding Judge Miriam Bien of Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 on Aug. 13. 

The arrest order was for qualified rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 8353 (I)(B), and qualified rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).

The court set the bail at P200,000 for one case and no bail for the other. 

The accused underwent medical examination at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital before being turned over to the police for documentation.
