Foreign national, cohort yield P850-M shabu

BUGALLON, Pangasinan – Authorities arrested a Chinese national and his companion and 125 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P850 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Polong, this town, on Thursday, Oct. 2.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said the contraband weighed one kilo each and concealed inside plastic tea bags.
The suspects were identified as alias “Monkey,” a 40-year-old Chinese national and resident of Paliparan 3 in Cavite City, and alias “Gardo,” 54, a resident of Mampang, Zamboanga City in Zamboanga del Sur, alleged high-value drug peddlers.
Seized from them were a Hyundai Starex van, a mobile phone, and the marked money.
The suspects face drug-related charges.
