Police arrested a 26-year-old man after he yielded shabu worth P3.8 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pembo, Taguig on Oct. 1.
The suspect was identified as alias Rowel, a resident of the barangay and classified by the police as a high-value individual (HVI).
The Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the sting operation that led to the arrest of the suspect.
Recovered from Rowel were seven plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 565.6 grams estimated to be worth P3,846,080.
The police also recovered buy-bust money, a P500 bill along with seven pieces of P500 boodle money, and a cell phone.
The illegal drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis and validation.
Rowel will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
