The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested on Monday, Sept. 29, four individuals, including two convenience store employees, in connection with a robbery-holdup in Barangay San Antonio, Quezon City.
Police said two men entered the store pretending to be customers and, at gunpoint, declared a holdup. They fled with P28,000 in earnings.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The case was reported to the Masambong Police Station, which immediately launched a follow-up investigation.
According to the police report, one of the suspects, identified as alias “Kenneth,” 20, a former store employee, was arrested first.
Authorities recovered the clothes used during the robbery from the suspect.
Police said alias Kenneth admitted his role in the crime and implicated his companions, identified as alias “Julius,” 23, and a child in conflict with the law (CICL).
The two were later arrested in Barangay Vasra, Quezon City.
Recovered from the suspects were a .45-caliber gun replica used during the holdup and P13,200, believed to be part of the stolen money.
Further investigation revealed that the incident was allegedly orchestrated by another store employee, identified as alias “Harry,” 21, who was working during the robbery. He was also taken into custody.
All four suspects are facing charges of robbery under Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code, and violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
