51 families displaced by Tondo fire receive P15K each

Fifty-one families displaced by a fire at the corner of La Torre Street and Padre Algue Street in Tondo received financial assistance of P15,000 each from the city government.

Most of the affected residents took shelter at the Reina Regente Tennis Court in Abad Santos, Tondo, where they set up the modular tents provided by the Manila LGU.
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso personally visited the site and encouraged the residents to use the aid for their essential needs.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire occurred on Sept. 29.
It was reported at 8:43 p.m., and the responding team from Engine 2 of the San Lazaro Fire Station arrived within seven minutes, covering a distance of approximately one kilometer. The fire was under control by 9:11 PM and declared completely out by 9:26 p.m. 
City officials continue to provide relief support to the displaced families, such as hot meals, food packs, and hygiene kits.
