Welder plunges to death in Batangas

BAUAN, Batangas â€“ A welder was killed and his co-worker was injured after the steel board supporting them detached while working on a roof in Barangay Manghinao Proper here on Tuesday morning, Jan. 7.

Police identified the fatality as Teodorico Jr. and the injured as Aley.

Investigation said the victims were welding on the rooftop of the dialysis center owned by the local government unit when the steel board suddenly detached.

They dropped 30 feet to the ground and were taken to a hospital where Teodorico was declared dead due to serious injuries and Aley undergoing treatment.
