Former Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso visited the victims of the fire that razed a residential area in Barangay 123 in Tondo on Tuesday, Jan. 7, as he distributed aid to the affected families.

He, together with his Yorme's Choice partymates, provided various kinds of aid to the over 100 families who lost their homes during the fire that also left nine individuals hurt.

"Mahirap mawalan ng tahanan kaya gusto po namin agad kayong makabangon sa krisis na inyong pinagdaanan ngayon. Nakakalungkot lang na ito agad ang bungad sa inyo ng bagong taon, pero huwag kayong mag-alala, mahaba pa naman ang taon, at habang may buhay ay may pag-asa. Tuloy lang ang laban (It's extremely difficult to lose one's home, that's why we want all of you to recover as soon as possible from the crisis that you are experiencing now. It's saddening that this disaster happened on the very first month of the year, but do not falter because as long as there's life, there will always be hope. Let's continue the fight)," Domagoso said.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at 2:13 p.m. and was raised to 2nd alarm at 2:16 p.m.
