PRO-1 activates election monitoring center


CAMP Florendo, San Fernando City, La Union – The Police Regional Office-1 has activated the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center to ensure a safe and orderly May elections in the Ilocos region.

PRO-1 Director Police Brig. Gen. Lou F. Evangelista said REMAC will serve as the central command post for monitoring and consolidating election-related information and provides real-time support to personnel deployed in field. 

Evangelista inspected facilities and equipment at the monitoring center. 

"We are committed in upholding the integrity of electoral process and the activation of this Regional Election Monitoring Action Center is instrumental in guaranteeing a peaceful, orderly, and credible elections," Evangelista said.

PRO-1 is continuously coordinating with the Commission on Elections and other deputized agencies to ensure the implementation of the poll body’s rules and regulations.

“PRO-1 as an impartial and apolitical organization will implement extensive law enforcement initiatives and checkpoint operations to thwart criminal activities comes election period,” he added.
