Marcos pays tribute to DA exec Savellano: A true public servant
President Marcos paid tribute to Agriculture Undersecretary Deogracias Victor "DV" Savellano, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for his service to his province and the country.

"I am deeply saddened the passing of Undersecretary Deogracias Victor "DV" Savellano, a true public servant, a dear friend and someone whose heart always belonged to the people he served," Marcos said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
Marcos honored Savellano for bringing progress to Ilocos Sur and for his contribution to the livestock sector.
"As governor and representative of Ilocos Sur, DV brought meaningful progress to the province, always guided by his love for Ilocos Sur and its people," Marcos said.
"He carried that same dedication to his role at the Department of Agriculture, working tirelessly to strengthen our livestock sector and support farmers across the country," Marcos added.
The President offered his condolences to his family and loved ones. He further honored the late public servant, saying his legacy will endure.
"DV's legacy will endure in the lives he touched and in the progress he brought to Ilocos and the nation," he said. "Agyaman kami kadagiti amin a naipaay a tulong ken serbisyom apo, DV (We thank you for the service you have given, DV)."
