SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – A man was gunned down in a motorcycle repair shop in Purok 5, Barangay San Isidro, this city, on Monday afternoon. Jan. 6.
Police identified the victim as Florante Negradas.
Investigation said the victim was waiting for the repair of his motorcycle to be completed when a man arrived and pretended to be a customer. The suspect suddenly drew a gun and shot the victim in the forehead.
The victim died on the spot and the suspect fled onboard a motorcycle.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
Accidents
A 57-year-old mechanic was killed when he was struck by a closed van while crossing a road in Barangay San Ignacio here on Monday night.
Police identified the victim as Ruel B. Endozo. He was taken to the San Pablo District Hospital where he was pronounced dead from severe head injuries.
Police arrested the 24-year-old van driver who faces a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
Also killed in a motorcycle collision here on Monday night was a 20-year-old service crew.
The victim was identified as Francis Dichoso.
Investigation said Dichoso’s motorcycle was hit by a motorcycle driven by contractor Warren Catipun which suddenly turned left.
The victims sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital where Dichoso was declared dead.
In Buenavista, Quezon, a fireman and a 20-year-old man were killed when their motorcycles collided on the Buenavista-Catanauan Road in Barangay Wasay on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 5.
Police identified the victims as Fire Officer 1 Emar Amamag-id Paje, 27, and Alfred Tolosa.
Paje and Tolosa were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead due to serious injuries.
Tolosa’s back rider, Fevilla P. de Guzman, 22, sustained injuries and treated in a hospital.
