Eastern Police District (EPD) Officer-in-Charge Col. Villamor Tuliao said more than 500 personnel of the EPD will be deployed to help secure the Feast of Jesus Nazarene on Thursday, Jan. 9, and ensure the safety of the public especially those joining the festivity.

Tuliao said the personnel will be coming from the district's four city police stations and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) in preparation for the event that is expected to draw around 6.5 million devotees coming from various parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

"In addition to the 500 personnel directly assigned to route security, an additional 385 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel will be on standby, ready to respond as needed. Despite the significant deployment, anti-criminality operations in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan City Police Stations will remain consistent)," Tuliao stressed.

“We will ensure that EPD personnel deployed for the Traslacion 2025 are alert and vigilant to properly secure the event and maintain peace and order. We will strictly observe the rule of law and respect the human rights of devotees celebrating the feast. We also urge the public planning to attend the event to prioritize their safety. Please do not hesitate to approach police personnel in the vicinity for assistance,” he added.
