For 2025, I see an upward trend of using bio-regenerative and bio-stimulation injectables to make the skin healthier and younger. New innovations for minimally invasive face lifting will become more popular, and we may see new technology for cellulite and permanent acne treatments without medication.—Dr Aivee- Aguilar Teo, president and medical director, Aivee Clinic

I think 2025 will continue the past craze for skincare and skin-finish makeup, but we’ll start to see a shift from bushy, feathered brows to simpler, tamed brows. A more refined brow look will always be part of the aesthetic. When it comes to color, multichrome shades will make a comeback.—Muriel Vega Perez, celebrity makeup artist and hair stylist

2025 is looking to be yet another exciting year for Filipino beauty! We’re anticipating more customizable makeup innovations, adorable packaging concepts, fresh creative collaborations, and a wider shade range tailored to the local market.—Denice Sy, chief sales and marketing officer, Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc.

Filipino beauty brands are taking over retail spaces. In recent years, especially during the pandemic, e-commerce became the go-to for these brands. Now, the natural next step is their expansion into physical retail spaces. This shift is exciting—not just for the brands but also for consumers, who can now experience the products up close. It’s a big moment for F-beauty, and I believe we’ll see more shelves stocked with proudly Filipino brands this year.—Nicole Morales, founder of The Beauty Edit

We’re just beginning to see a surge of artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted products in the market. In 2024, personalized skincare recommendations powered by AI skin analysis became a reality, and this is only the beginning. Moving forward, AI and data science will play a bigger role in crafting bespoke formulas and treatments. Cosmetic products designed with modified allergens to address specific sensitivities—preventing reactions and acne—are already here. With DNA-based skincare, beauty is becoming hyper-personalized, tailored to each individual’s unique genetic makeup.—Dani Regina De Leon, brand lead, ULSSI

This 2025, we will see nail trends that strike a balance between the minimalist ‘clean girl’ nails of recent years and the maximalist Y2K-inspired nail art. Expect 3D nail art and subtle embellishments like pearls and gems to be on-trend. This year, nails will be all about texture.—Whena Pino, founder of Pino Beauty Lounge

For dental trends, natural-looking veneers will take center stage. With the rise of the stealth wealth era, more people are gravitating toward a more natural-looking set of teeth rather than the overly large, super-white veneers that used to be popular. Today, a healthy, natural-looking smile is increasingly associated with elegance and luxury.—Patricia Suiza, founder, Gallery by Valeria

In today’s busy world, we all want beauty products to keep up with our fast-paced lives. That’s why hybrid beauty products are such a game-changer—they save time and make life easier. Take our best-selling Star Balm-Glow Lux Body Balm at Teviant, for example. It’s a 3-in-1 product that acts as a body hydrator, a body glower, and a solid perfume. Plus, it’s made with eco-friendly ingredients like non-plastic shimmer beads that are kind to the environment. Globally, people are increasingly looking for beauty products that combine great ingredients with real benefits. The future of beauty lies in smart, multitasking products that work harder for you, allowing you to spend less time on your routine and more time on what matters.—Albert Kurniawan, CEO Teviant

In 2025, beauty trends and innovations will likely revolve around a holistic approach to wellness and aging, emphasizing overall health as a foundation for beauty. Key trends expected to emerge include holistic lifestyle practices, enhanced detoxification, and personalized IV drips. Overall, the beauty landscape in 2025 will prioritize a well-rounded approach, integrating physical health, mental well-being, and advanced regenerative therapies to create a more sustainable and effective model of beauty and aging.—Candy Dalman, medical director, Centro Holistico

I think inflation will play a huge role in the trends that we see all over the world. People have less spending power on non-necessities like fashion and beauty, so they will be more conscious of their purchases moving forward. In the Philippines, I think Filipino beauty brands will continue to be strong as more consumers switch to more affordable beauty products that do the same job as what luxury brands offer.

In terms of trends, I’m seeing a pendulum swing back to maximalist beauty from the minimalist beauty trends we’ve been seeing in the last four years. So eyeshadow is back - we’re going to see more bright colors, glitter, and smoky looks. We’re going to see the return of bright lip colors like reds and hot pinks.—Liz Lanuzo, founder and editor of Project Vanity

For 2025 I think there will be more focus on skin barrier-building ingredients. Gone are the days of using harsh acids and I think there will be more push towards ingredients that actively contribute to skin healing, hydration, and protection.

There have been more beauty treatment facilities that offer exosomes therapy and soon, I can see that skincare products will also be offering products that support the skin barrier and health.

Products that are rich in fatty acids, peptides, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, cica, ectoin, etc. help contribute in the repair and regeneration of our skin cells and in return, keep our skin healthy and protected from dark spots, acne, fine lines.—Audrey Dy, co-founder of Good Molecules Philippines

This 2025, it’s going to be about self-expression and personalization. With louder and bolder colors, glossier and shinier finishes in makeup — people, especially the youth, would want looks that can best capture their individuality.  We see the rise of building regimens or gestures — with more complex formats entering the market.  It’s really everyone’s game now — global, local, or other independent brands.—Raj Traballo, senior product manager, L’Oreal Paris.

For 2025 beauty trends, we’re looking at 3 primary trends:

1. Clean and natural beauty

2. Streamlined beauty products that fit one’s lifestyle

3. Sun protection —Darrell Sia of Nature Republic Philippines and N.Cat

With these forecasts, it’s clear that 2025 will be a year of exciting experimentation and innovation. How about you? What beauty trends are you excited to try? (With a report from Jane Kingsu-Cheng)
