PRO-12 bags P60-M shabu in 2024

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Police seized 8.9 kilos of shabu worth P60.5 million in the Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and General Santos City) region in 2024.

Also seized were 6,800 marijuana plants worth P1.3 million and marijuana leaves valued at P72,000.

Police Brig. Gen. Arnold Ardiente, Police Regional Office-12 director, said 122 drug suspects were arrested in 1,200 anti-drug operations.

Ardiente ordered police to uphold human rights while conducting the anti-drug campaign.

“Our campaign to combat the drug trade is firmly rooted in respect for human rights, proving that it’s possible to dismantle drug syndicates while upholding life and dignity,” Ardiente said.

Ardiente reminded police to maintain their integrity without compromising their duties to arrest drug offenders.
