David Licauco stays 'chill lang' amid Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto breakup

As 2025 begins, Barbie Forteza has announced her breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Jak Roberto. Meanwhile, her on-screen partner, David Licauco, seems unfazed by the situation.

The star of "Pulang Araw" shared a casual photo on Instagram to delight his fans.

“Chill lang,” David wrote in his caption. 

A few days after Barbie made her announcement, David's name was dragged around by numerous stories regarding the breakup.

Meanwhile, Jak remained silent about the breakup as of this writing.

Multiple reports have mentioned posts and interviews suggesting that David is now single. While he usually keeps his private life out of the public eye, his relationship status gained attention online when he was photographed spending time with Sparkle GMA Vice President Joy Marcelo and fellow actor Nikki Co last December.

On Wednesday, Jan. 1, an AZU official then posted the image on Facebook.

Apparently from Marcelo's social media account, the post said, "Mga single ngayong pasko (They are single this Christmas)." After that, she added Licauco and Co. to the picture.

David has always kept his personal life private on social media, choosing to share only details about his acting career and business pursuits. 

However, during an interview with Boy Abunda in June 2024, the Kapuso actor revealed that he was "taken."
