Teenage girl knifed dead in Quezon

MULANAY, Quezon – A 15-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed to death by a man in Barangay Anonang, this town, on Friday afternoon, Jan. 3.

Police identified the victim as Angelita, a Grade 10 student.

Investigation said a witness saw the victim crying and being chased by the suspect Marcelo, a resident of Barangay Magsaysay here, towards a forested area. The suspect was wearing white sando, black bull cap, and fatigue shorts.

The witness sought help from neighbors who found the victim dead with a stab wound in the neck.

A barangay official informed the police about the incident.

Marcelo fled on foot to Barangay Bolo. Police are conducting follow-up investigation and manhunt operations. Barangay Anonang is a far-flung area here.

Meanwhile, a septuagenarian was bumped and killed by a passenger bus while driving a bicycle in Sitio Gamao, Barangay Maggalang, Sariaya, this province, on Friday evening.

The victim Ben was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead due to serious injuries.

Police said the victim and bus management are discussing an amicable settlement.
