Veteran Jeffrey De Luna finds himself donning the country’s colors for the first time in more than a decade after booking a ticket to the 12th World Games slated in August in Chengdu, China.

In a Facebook post, the 40-year-old De Luna disclosed that he received a phone call from Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) secretary general Atty. Wharton Chan informing him that his last two foreign stints earned him a spot in the said quadrennial meet.

“Thank you to the Asian Federation and (POC) for rewarding me a spot. 2025 is going to be an amazing year! Time to bounce back, the Bull!” wrote De Luna.

De Luna, who won the men’s 9-ball silver medal at the 2006 Doha Asian Games, qualified after snaring two bronze medals in the WPA’s Asian 10-Ball Championship and the World 10-Ball Cup held in Qatar last year.

With the development, he is expected to join fellow cue artist Rubilen Amit and kickboxer Hergie Bacyadan.

Though Bacyadan focused on boxing last year -- having competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics -- she has earned a spot after winning a gold medal in the Asian Kickboxing Championships in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Meanwhile, De Luna has been silently competing in various international tournaments.

Last year, he won The Cue International 10-Ball Open and the Mansion Sports 9-Ball Open.
