Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy weather with rain on Saturday, Jan. 4, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its weather forecast, PAGASA said that localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
PAGASA also noted that the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” will affect extreme Northern Luzon, while the shear line will impact Central Luzon and the rest of Northern Luzon.
In Batanes, cloudy skies and rain are expected due to the northeast monsoon.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms to Central Luzon, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Flash floods or landslides are possible in the affected areas due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms, PAGASA warned.
