Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” could break the record held by Santana’s “Supernatural” to become the most awarded album at the Grammys. This would also make Beyoncé the most awarded artist in one night.
Sabrina Carpenter could become the first female artist in more than 50 years to win Song and Record of the Year for two different songs in one night
Taylor Swift (nominated for “The Tortured Poets Department”) could become the first artist to win five Album of the Year Grammys.
Billie Eilish (nominated for “Birds Of A Feather”) could tie the record of Paul Simon & Bruno Mars for the most Record of the Year trophies won by an artist (three) and she could also become the first woman to win in this category thrice as well as the first artist to ever win thrice for solo recordings.
Here are the records that could be broken at the 67th Grammy Awards:
OVERALL
- Beyoncé could extend her record as the most awarded artist in the history of the Grammy Awards - she has won 32 Grammys and she is nominated for 11 more awards in 2025, which could potentially bring her total to 43 Grammys won.
- Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” which received 11 nominations at the 2025 Grammys could break the record held by Santana’s “Supernatural” and become the most awarded album at the Grammys - “Supernatural” won nine Grammys in 2000.
- Beyoncé could break Michael Jackson and Santana’s record for the most Grammys won during one night - Jackson won 8 awards in 1984 while Santana won 8 in 2000, so if Beyoncé turns at least eight out of her 11 nominations into wins, she will tie the record and if she wins nine or more Grammys, she will break the record; having said that, the record could also be tied by Charli XCX or Post Malone who both have eight nominations at the 2025 Grammys
- Charli XCX (eight nominations) or Billie Eilish (seven nominations) could break Beyoncé and Adele’s record as the most awarded female artist in one night at the Grammy Awards. Beyoncé won six Grammys at the 2010 ceremony while Adele won six at the 2012 ceremony. Since Beyoncé has 11 nominations in 2025, she could also break her own record from 2010.
- The Beatles or Jack Antonoff are missing only one major Grammy victory to complete winning all four major awards at the Grammys - Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Antonoff is missing only Record of the Year which he could win in 2025 for co-producing Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight”, while The Beatles are also missing Record of the Year victory, which could happen in 2025 if they win for “Now And Then.”
- Sabrina Carpenter could become the first female artist in more than 50 years to win Song and Record of the Year for two different songs in one night. Carpenter is nominated for Song of the Year with “Please, Please, Please” and for Record of the Year with “Espresso.” The only female artist who ever managed to win in both of the categories with different songs in one year is Carole King who won Song of the Year for “You’ve Got a Friend” and Record of the Year for “It’s Too Late” in 1972.
- Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan could join Billie Eilish and Christopher Cross and become only the third artist to ever win all four major Grammy awards in one night (Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year). Eilish achieved this feat in 2020 and Cross in 1981.
- Billie Eilish could become the second artist to ever win Song, Record and Album of the Year in one night on two occasions - historically, this feat has only been achieved by Adele (2012, 2017). Eilish won all three Grammys in 2020 and she is nominated for all three again in 2025, which would make her the second artist to win all three in one night
- RAYE could become the first artist to ever win Songwriter of the Year and Best New Artist in the same year
- Chris Gehringer, a mastering engineer, extended his record as the most nominated individual in the Grammys history who has yet to win the award - his latest nomination in the Best Engineered Album category for “Cyan Blue” is his 21st nomination, so the 2025 ceremony gives him a chance to get rid of this record and win his first Grammy.
GENERAL FIELD
ALBUM OF THE YEAR
- Taylor Swift (“The Tortured Poets Department”) could extend her record as the artist with the most Grammy Album of the Year won if she wins her fifth trophy in the category in 2025. Swift won for “Fearless”, “1989”, “folklore”, “Midnights” and she could win again for “The Tortured Poets Department.” (Among artists, Swift is the only one that managed to win four times and she would be the first one to win five times).
- Taylor Swift (“The Tortured Poets Department”) could become the first female artist to ever win Grammy Album of the Year in consecutive years (and only the third artist ever following Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra). Swift won last year for “Midnights” and she could win again this year for “The Tortured Poets Department.”
- Billie Eilish (“Hit Me Hard And Soft”) could become only the third female artist to ever win Album of the Year on two (or more) occasions as the main credited artist, joining Taylor Swift and Adele. Swift has won four times and Adele twice, while Eilish won in 2020 for “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” and she could win again in 2025 for “Hit Me Hard And Soft.”
- Beyoncé could get rid of her “record” as the most nominated female artist without a win in the Album of the Year category. .She has received five nominations but she has yet to win (nominations: “I Am…Sasha Fierce”, “Beyoncé”, “Lemonade”, “Renaissance”, and “Cowboy Carter”).
SONG OF THE YEAR
- Taylor Swift (“Fortnight”) could get rid of her “record” as the most nominated songwriter in the Song of the Year category without a win. Swift has been nominated eight times, the most out of all songwriters, but she has yet to win in the category, which could change in 2025 if she wins for “Fortnight.”
- Billie Eilish & FINNEAS (“Birds of a Feather”) or Bruno Mars & D’Mile (“Die with a Smile”) could break out of a tie and set a new record for the most Song of the Year Grammys won if either of them win their third trophy in the category. Eilish & FINNEAS won in the past for “bad guy” & “What Was I Made For” while Bruno Mars won for “That’s What I Like” & “Leave The Door Open” and D’Mile won for “Leave The Door Open” and “I Can’t Breathe.”
- Billie Eilish & FINNEAS (“Birds of a Feather”) could join D’Mile and become the only songwriters to ever win Song of the Year in two consecutive years. They won last year for “What Was I Made For.”
- Beyoncé (“Texas Hold ‘Em”) or Jack Antonoff (“Fortnight” / “Please, Please, Please”) could tie the record for the most Song of the Year Grammys won, which currently stands at two. Beyoncé won in this category in 2010 for “Single Ladies” while Antonoff won for Fun’s “We Are Young” in 2013.
RECORD OF THE YEAR
- Billie Eilish (“Birds of a Feather”) could tie the record of Paul Simon & Bruno Mars for the most Record of the Year trophies won by an artist (three) and she could also become the first woman to win in this category thrice as well as the first artist to ever win thrice for solo recordings. Simon won two of his trophies for his work with Garfunkel (“Mrs. Robinson”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”) and once for his solo work (“Graceland”), while Mars won two of his trophies for collaborations (“Uptown Funk” with Mark Ronson and “Leave The Door Open” as part of Silk Sonic) and once for his solo work (“24K Magic”), but Eilish won both of her Record of the Year trophies for solo recordings (“bad guy” & “Everything I Wanted”), which would make “Birds of a Feather” her third solo victory.
- Beyoncé (“Texas Hold ‘Em”) could get rid of her “record” as the most nominated artist in the Record of the Year category without a win. Beyoncé has been nominated nine times, the most out of all artists, but she has yet to win in the category, which could change in 2025 if she wins for “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
- The Beatles could get rid of their “record” as the most nominated group without a win in the Record of the Year category. “Now And Then” is their fifth nomination but they have yet to win in the category. Secondly, The Beatles could set a new record for the most years between the first nomination in the Record of the Year category and the first win - they received their first nomination in 1965 for “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, so a win in 2025 for “Now And Then” would come 60 years after their first nomination.
BEST NEW ARTIST
- 2025 could become the longest streak of female solo artists winning Best New Artist at the Grammys - 2025 could become the 8th year of a female solo artist winning (Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, RAYE or Chappell Roan). The last longest streak happened between 1997 starting with LeAnn Rimes and ended in 2003 with Norah Jones, 7 years, which was tied last year when Victoria Monét won, thus continuing the 7-year-long run that started with Alessia Cara in 2018.

BEST POP DUO/GROUP PERFORMANCE
- Lady Gaga (“Die With A Smile”) could break out of her tie with SZA and become the sole holder of the record for the most wins in the Best Pop/Duo Group Performance category. Gaga won twice in the past (“Shallow” & “Rain On Me”), but this year, Gaga could win her third trophy for her collaboration with Bruno Mars “Die With A Smile”, making Gaga the first artist to win thrice in the category; meanwhile, Ariana Grande (“The Boy Is Mine”) could tie Gaga and SZA’s record if she wins her second trophy for her collaboration with Monica and Brandy.
