President Marcos believes that the "best people" running for office in the May elections are under his political party.

Speaking at the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) Leaders' Convergence Summit at The Manila Hotel on Friday, Jan. 31, Marcos claimed that nobody can dare say that the candidates under the party and its alliance are weak and empty-headed.
"I believe, the best people and the most effective public servants in the Philippines under our umbrella ngayon sa PFP at sa buong alyansa (of PFP and the alliance)," Marcos said in his speech.
"At hindi natin masasabi na wala -- hindi masasabi ng sinuman na ating mga katunggali, hindi masasabi na ang hinaharap natin ay napakahina, hindi marunong, walang alam. Walang ganyan dito sa PFP. Walang ganyan sa alyansa (And no one can dare say that they are up against weak and brainless candidates. We do not have that in PFP. We do not have that in the alliance)," Marcos added.
The President also claimed that the PFP, which he chairs, is the strongest party in the country now.
"At asahan ninyo (Expect that), the PFP is the strongest party in the country today. And the PFP—that strong party is behind you all the way," he told the politicians.
He also expressed hopes that the admin slate would score a perfect 12-0 win in the coming elections.
Prior to the campaign period, Marcos' PFP has forged alliances with several political parties in the country in an attempt to broaden the grand coalition under the banner of Bagong Pilipinas—the new UniTeam.
In August last year, PFP formed an alliance with one of the country’s oldest political parties, the Nacionalista Party (NP). In June 2024, it also formed an alliance with the National Unity Party (NUP). In May 2024, it also made an alliance with the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) and the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD).
