Devotees were advised to observe the "Dos and Don'ts" during the event.

Don’ts:

  • Devotees are prohibited from climbing the “andas” (carriage of Jesus the Nazarene).

  • Avoid pushing or climbing onto the backs of other devotees to prevent injuries.

  • Bringing large bags or excessive items is not allowed; only transparent bags are permitted for easy inspection.

  • Setting up camping tents, especially for overnight stays, is strictly prohibited.

  • Devotees with health conditions and children are advised to stay on the roadside for their safety.

Prohibited items during the procession include:

  • Backpacks or opaque bags
  • Hoodies or sweatshirts
  • Umbrellas
  • Firecrackers or pyrotechnic devices
  • Alcohol or attending the event intoxicated
  • Caps or hats
  • Water tumblers

Dos

  • Eat before the procession to ensure sufficient energy for the event.

  • Those unwell or children participating should remain at the roadside for safety.

  • Devotees may throw towels to wipe the image of Jesus the Nazarene but must do so carefully.

  • Properly handle the lever and rope with care and reverence.

  • Maintain solemnity during the Holy Mass and avoid causing any disturbances.

  • Keep the area, including the church and Quirino Grandstand, clean by disposing of trash in designated bins.

The Quiapo Church urged all devotees to observe these rules and ensure the focus remains on Jesus the Nazarene as the centerpiece of the celebration.
