2 robbers nabbed in Rizal; Shabu, gun seized

Authorities confiscated shabu and a firearm from two arrested suspects involved in the robbery of two convenience stores in Rodriguez, Rizal on Saturday, Jan. 4.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspects as “Just” and “Kulot,” tagged as notorious robbers.

According to reports, the suspects were arrested following separate manhunt operations after being reported for robbing two different convenience stores in Barangay San Isidro and Barangay San Jose on Jan. 3.

Police said the shabu was recovered from both suspects, while the firearm was in Kulot's possession.

The suspects are now detained at the Rodriguez Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of robbery, Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

Rizal PPO director PCol. Felipe Maraggun commended the police officers and vowed that the entire police force of Rizal will not stop providing service to ensure a safe and orderly community.
