1,657 wanted persons caught in Cordillera in 2024

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Police apprehended 1,657 wanted persons in the Cordillera region from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024.

The Police Regionla Office-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Baguio City Police arrested 632, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office with 454, Kalinga PPO with 147, Abra PPO with 137, Ifugao PPO with 122, Mountain Province PPO with 88, and Apayao PPO with 77.

Three-hundred fifty-four were most wanted persons -- 28 on the regional level, 203 on the provincial level, and 123 on the municipal level.

PRO-Cordillera chief Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr. thanked lawmen for their unwavering dedication to arrest the fugitives.
