The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), in its weather forecast, noted that while no significant weather disturbances are expected, these weather systems may bring occasional rains and cooler temperatures to several areas.
PAGASA said the shear line, formed by the collision of warm and cold air masses, will affect the Visayas, while the “amihan” will influence weather conditions in Luzon.
Due to the northeast monsoon, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The “amihan” will also bring cloudy skies and rain to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
Meanwhile, the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, and Dinagat Islands.
Palawan and the rest of the Visayas will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line.
Additionally, PAGASA said the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the rest of Mindanao.
PAGASA advised residents in affected areas to stay updated on changing conditions, as flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
