Hog raiser shoots cousin dead in Ilocos Sur

A 43-year-old farmer was allegedly gunned down by his cousin on Wednesday morning, Jan. 29, in Barangay Patong, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.

Police identified the victim as Edmon Unciano Ronquillo.

Initial investigation said the victim was on his way to feed his pigs when the suspect, Maynard Unciano Torreno Jr., 33, a hog raiser also from Barangay Patong, appeared from behind and shot Ronquillo.

The victim died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds.

Recovered from the crime scene were 10 fired caliber 5.56 cartridges.

Torreno fled and is now the subject of a manhunt operation.
