Taguig cops arrest suspects behind shooting of barangay desk officer
The Taguig Police arrested two suspects in the shooting of a barangay desk officer on Jan. 25.
The shooting happened at about 8:20 p.m. in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig. The victim, 38, a barangay desk officer of Hagonoy, was shot in her room by the suspects. She was shot in the neck and shoulder. She is in stable condition, the police said.
Following the shooting, the Taguig Police reviewed CCTV footage in the area. A witness, identified as alias Almer, an e-bike driver, told the police that the suspects boarded his e-bike. He helped the police in locating the suspects’ addresses.

A joint operation by the Taguig Police led to the arrest of the suspects. The police confiscated a .45-caliber pistol with four live ammunition, magazine, a .38-caliber revolver loaded with three pieces of live ammunition.
The police filed a complaint against the suspects for frustrated murder and violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
