PLDT Home's 'We are Here for You' video tugs the heart with an iconic 90s song

It’s refreshing to hear Eraserheads’ iconic song “Huwag Kang Matakot” with a new perspective. Echoing its renewed commitment for customers, PLDT Home recently releases a new rendition of the song - originally composed by vocalist Ely Buendia – and brings a broader meaning to its message: “We are here for you.” 

For 96 years, PLDT Home has kept generations of families connected, enabling them to connect, create, and chase their dreams. This year, PLDT Home reiterates its message of commitment to provide reliable technologies and services so that families can enrich their lives and build meaningful connections at home.

A New Year’s Message of Support

In the video, PLDT Home aptly plays the 90s iconic song “Huwag kang Matakot” by Eraserheads, which emphasizes what the brand’s message of “We are here for you” truly means. 

The song’s reassuring lyrics fits perfectly as it emphasizes the true meaning and importance of a family’s presence and support.

The latest PLDT Home video highlights the love and support of a Filipino family – from a father encouraging his son as he calls him before a nerve-wracking exam; a mom comforting her daughter challenged by cyberbullying; a daughter who has access to her family’s security camera and was able to keep her mom safe from harm; a son who cheers up his sick mom by spending time with her on a video call; and a family showing 100% support for each other despite the distance.

Digital Innovations

PLDT Home’s customer-centric initiatives are evident in its products.
