13-year-old boy drowns in river in Dasmariñas

CAVITE – A 13-year-old boy drowned in a river in Dasmariñas City on Monday, Jan. 27.

Initial investigation by the Dasmariñas City Component Police Station revealed that the boy and his friends went to the river in Barangay San Agustin I to swim at around 5:00 p.m.

The report mentioned that the victim was “horseplaying” with a friend when he accidentally fell into the water.

The victim’s friend tried to save him but to no avail.

Their other companions sought help from a bystander and rushed the victim to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
