Police nab Italian for touching buttocks of convenience store staff

SANTO TOMAS CITY, Batangas â€“ A 58-year-old Italian was apprehended for allegedly touching the buttocks of a convenience store employee in Barangay Santiago here before dawn on Sunday morning, Jan. 26.

Police identified the suspect as Claudio of Milan, Italy.

Investigation said that Claudio arrived at the store and asked the victim Elena who was arranging merchandise about a toothbrush. The suspect allegedly touched her butt and uttered that she has a big breast.

Elena went to the backroom of the store to check closed-circuit television camera footage and discovered that the suspect pocketed a facial wash. She reported the theft to the duty security guard identified as Ronel and frisked the suspect who brought the item out from his pocket and paid at the cashier.

Ronel ushered the suspect out and told him that he will use the comfort room of a nearby gasoline station. Claudio returned minutes later and spat on the face of Ronel.

Claudio fled and Ronel and asked the assistance of the police who apprehended the suspect during a chase. The suspect faces complaints of acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation.
