Marcos appoints new PCO undersecretary

President Marcos has appointed a new undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

Jorjette Barrenechea Aquino was designated as new PCO undersecretary, replacing Cherbett Karen Maralit.

Aquino was appointed by the President last Jan. 23, 2025. 

According to PCO Secretary Cesar Chavez, Aquino would focus on the rationalization plan (RatPlan) and digitalization of PTV4 under Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) assistance.

Prior to her appointment, Aquino served as assistant secretary for rails at the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
