Las Piñas cops nab man wanted for abuse of children, acts of lasciviousness

A man wanted for three counts of abuse, exploitation of children, discrimination, and acts of lasciviousness was arrested by members of the Las Piñas City Police on Jan. 26 in Pasig City.

Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the suspect as alias “Rey,” 47. He was arrested at around 12:10 p.m. in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Tafalla said Rey ranked 9 on the list of the most wanted person under district level for the first quarter of 2025 for violation of two counts of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act) in relation to Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of RA 7610 and Acts of Lasciviousness,         

He said Rey was arrested by virtue of two separate warrants of arrest for violation of Republic Act 7610 Section 5(b) (2 counts) issued by Judge Nerina C.N. Anastacio Mendinueto of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court, Branch 202 on  December 10, 2024, with a recommended bail of P400,000.

The city police chief said another warrant of arrest was served against the suspect issued by Judge Teodoro S. Carbonera of Las Piñas City Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 121 on November 29, 2024, with a recommended bail of P36,000 for violation of Section 10(a) of RA 7610 and Acts of Lasciviousness.

 Rey was immediately detained at the Las Piñas City Police custodial facility following his arrest.
