Farm caretaker shot dead in Bago City

BACOLOD CITY – A 32-year-old farm caretaker was fatally shot in Purok Masulhay, Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Police identified the victim as Potot.

Investigation said that the victim's cousin was waylaid by two persons, a few meters away from a motor shop, where the victim and his companion were having a drinking session. 

The victim saw his cousin running towards them. The victim confronted the two persons, but he was shot by one of them.

The suspects fled and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
