Suspect in Tondo gun attack arrested in Rizal


The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) announced on Friday, Jan. 24, the arrest of the top 1 most wanted person, who was allegedly involved in a shooting incident on Lakandula Tulip Street, Barangay 31, Zone 3, in Tondo, Manila, on April 2, 2024.

The Rizal PPO identified the suspect as “Make” or “Asiong,” 41, a resident of Rodriguez, Rizal. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder that was issued by Judge Ana Narlea M. Bonifacio-Cruz, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Manila, on August 2, 2024, with no bail recommended.

Authorities said the operation was conducted by the Warrant Section after receiving information from the Task Force Anti-Criminality identifying the suspect as a wanted person.

During his arrest, authorities also recovered a caliber .38 revolver with six live ammunition, a shotgun, four caliber .38 live rounds, and a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing seven bullets.

The suspect was brought to Casimiro Ynares Memorial Hospital for a medical check-up before being transferred to Rodriguez Police Station for documentation and case disposition.
