Duty Free Philippines welcomed the Year of the Wood Snake with a celebration at Luxe Duty Free in Pasay City on Friday, Jan. 24.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who was represented by her Chief of Staf Peter Pardo, said the special event was a festive and enriching experience filled with cultural performances, traditional blessings, and exclusive offerings for all guests.
Pardo, together with Department of Tourism (DOT) Assistant Sec. Christine Joy Cari, joined the other guest in the festivities and shared their well wishes for a prosperous new year.
He said the event featured a spectacular dragon and lion dance, a tradition known to bring good fortune and drive away negative energy.
In keeping with the spirit of the Chinese New Year, attendees were treated to Feng Shui consultations, offering insight into the lucky elements of the year and how to align one's surroundings for success and prosperity.
There was also a blessing ceremony by a Feng Shui expert offering good fortune and health to all in attendance.
