BATANGAS CITY – A widower was gunned down while driving a tricycle in Barangay Paharang Silangan here on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 23.
Police identified the victim as Catalino Caguite of Barangay Bilogo here.
Investigation said motorcycle-riding gunmen shot the victim who died on the spot from bullet wounds in the head.
The tricycle crashed into a grassy portion of the road. Its two passengers sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital.
Police said the driver of motorcycle was wearing white T-shirt and the back rider was wearing light brown T-shirt and pants. Both were wearing black helmets.
The suspect fled towards Taysan, Batangas. Police are conducting follow-up and manhunt operations.
