Authorities identified the arrested suspect as “Dom,” 24. The two other suspects were identified as “Totong” and “Nognog.”

Based on the investigation, the victim’s motorcycle was parked in front of a supermarket in Barangay Palatiw around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday and was later discovered missing.

The victim immediately reported the incident, prompting members of Sub Station 6 (SS6) of the Pasig City Police Station to conduct backtracking and follow-up operations to apprehend the suspects.

The backtracking and validation through CCTV cameras installed in the barangay caught the suspects taking the motorcycle with the help of a tricycle.

A joint operation was conducted by personnel from SS6, the Anti-Carnapping (ANCAR) Unit of Pasig CPS, and the Barangay Palatiw Security Force along Market Avenue, resulting in the arrest of Dom. However, the two other suspects managed to escape.

The police said the arrested suspect and the recovered evidence were placed under the custody of Pasig CPS for proper disposition before the filing of appropriate charges against the suspect.

EPD Director Col. Villamor Tuliao said authorities are actively pursuing operations against the two remaining suspects. He also reassured the public of their commitment to upholding safety and security, vowing to continue their efforts in serving and protecting the community.
