Megaworld's Gutierrez-Alfonso named to Forbes 50 Over 50 Global list

Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, the newly appointed president of Megaworld Corporation, has been recognized as one of the world's most influential women by Forbes magazine.

Gutierrez-Alfonso, who assumed leadership of Megaworld in June 2024, has quickly made her mark on the company, according to Forbes.

She has spearheaded ambitious plans to expand Megaworld's townships and hotel portfolio, with a projected investment of $6.1 billion over the next five years that aims to solidify Megaworld's position in the booming Philippine property market.

She is the only Filipina to be included in the inaugural 50 Over 50 Global list, which featured trailblazing women over the age of 50 who are making significant contributions in their respective fields.

The Forbes 50 Over 50 list celebrates women who have achieved remarkable success in their careers while championing gender equality.

Gutierrez-Alfonso joins a distinguished group of Asia-Pacific leaders, including Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw of Biocon (India), Annabelle Yu Long of BAI Capital (China), and Bonnie Chan of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (Hong Kong).

Gutierrez-Alfonso is also noted for her strong advocacy for sustainable and inclusive development.

Forbes said she is committed to expanding Megaworld's reach and providing innovative housing solutions to meet the growing needs of the Filipino people.
