ILOILO CITY — More than 7,250 law enforcers were deployed for the Jan. 24 to 26 highlight of the 2025 Dinagyang Festival in this city.

“It is our collective responsibility to protect the people and provide an environment where the spirit of the festival can flourish in peace and harmony,” said Police Col. Kim Legada, director of the Iloilo City Police (ICPO).
Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, chief of the ICPO Public Information Office, said that more than 3,300 policemen were deployed with an augmentation of almost 4,000.
The ICPO deployed 1,300 lawmen.
Two-thousand policemen from the Iloilo Police Provincial Office and the Police Regional Office-6 were also deployed.
They are augmented by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), 3rd Infantry Division (ID) of the Philippine Army, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and force multipliers from the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), criminology students, and maritime students.
Law enforcers are also closely coordinating with Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC Iloilo), and various groups.
