Motorcycle hits 7-year-old girl in Tondo

A seven-year-old girl was injured when she was hit by a motorcycle along Moriones Street, Tondo, Manila, on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the motorcycle rider as John Carlo Navarro.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. near the corner of Sevilla Street.

Based on the initial investigation, the girl was crossing the street when she was struck by the left front portion of the motorcycle which was heading westward along Moriones Street.

Angelica Bautista, 27, a resident of Sta. Cruz, Manila, who was one of the back riders on the motorcycle, said that the motorcycle driver failed to stop after the incident.

The injured child was initially taken to Mary Johnston Hospital for medical treatment. She was later transferred to Gat Andres Memorial Medical Center.
