Man nabbed in shabu buy-bust operation in Taguig

A man, tagged as a high value individual, was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Southern Police District (SPD) in Taguig.

The suspect, alias Alex, 51, was apprehended by police operatives from the SPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Central Bicutan.

Seized during the operation were 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, 49 photocopied P1,000.00 bills, and a cell phone.

The seized illegal drugs will be turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

A criminal complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared for filing against the suspect with the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
