Paris Olympian Aleah Finnegan shone brightly after leading Louisiana State University (LSU) against rival Florida in a close showdown of two elite schools in the recent US NCAA Southeast Conference artistic gymnastics opener.
Performing in front of a thousands of fans at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Missouri, the 22-year-old Finnegan impressed and notched 9.95 points to snare her third straight title in floor exercise.
Finnegan, who was part of LSU’s 2024 NCAA’s Gymnastics National Champions, also shared the top honor with Florida’s Selena Harris-Miranda as the two gymnasts were tied with 39.500 points in the event.
It was a great outing for Finnegan, who is being anticipated to banner the Nationals in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) in Thailand this December, that powered the Tigers to the victory over the Gators.
The LSU standout had two golds on top of two silvers. She has a Pan American gold as well and two bronzes in Asian Championships.
