Farmer drowns on Quezon river

CALAUAG, Quezon – A 52-year-old farmer drowned while swimming on a river in Barangay Patihan here on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 21.

Police identified the victim as Roberto Fernandez, married, and a resident of Barangay Patihan.

Investigation said the victim swam at the Pandahan River but failed to resurface.

Residents searched and recovered his body.

He was taken to the Saint Peter General Hospital here where he was declared dead.
