Lagdameo visited Cebu City during the Sinulog Festival over the weekend and met regional, provincial, and local officials led by Gov. Gwen Garcia. He assessed their local situation and rallied them under a common goal. The meeting was held less than a month before the start of the campaign period in February.

In a statement, Lagdameo said he hopes that his meeting with key lawmakers and government candidates nationwide "signals a united front for the administration’s slate."

“It is important to have a unified call with other political players, especially as the country faces political divisions. Unity is key to ensuring that we continue to move forward as a nation,” Lagdameo, representing President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., said.

Lagdameo said he echoed the administration's goal of achieving unity and prosperity in the country in the Sinulog Festival as it attracts millions of Filipinos and key political players annually.

Photos on the Cebu province Facebook page showed Lagdameo with Sen. JV Ejercito, former Sen. Francis N. Pangilinan and wife actress Sharon Cuneta, and Negros Oriental Gov. Manuel Sagarbarria.

Lagdameo also met with Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia, House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar, and Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Undersecretary Terence Calatrava.
