BAGUIO CITY – Police have arrested two men wanted for rape here.
Baguio City Police Office chief Police Col. Ruel Tagel said the suspects, considered as the No. 1 and 4 most wanted persons in the Cordillera region, were apprehended in Barangay Middle Quezon Hill and San Carlos Heights, Irisan.
Tagel said the No. 1 MWP, a 37-year-old male, was arrested by the BCPO Police Station 10 for six counts of stator rape, five counts of qualified rape of a minor, and seven counts of sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
The No. 4 MWP was a 36-year-old construction worker who was nabbed by the BCPO Station 9 and charged with two counts of rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 as well as acts of lasciviousness.
The suspects were arrested without bail.
