PDEA: P3.4-M worth of shabu seized in Lanao del Sur buy-bust

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA seized around P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Marawi City.

PDEA said the operation was conducted in Barangay Matampay on Jan. 18 and resulted in the arrest of certain Jamael and Mahid. 

Seized were more or less 500 grams of shabu concealed in a self-sealing transparent plastic bag, a mobile phone, an identification card, a green Suzuki motorcycle, black Bajaj motorcycle and buy-bust money.

The two suspects are  currently detained at the PDEA BARMM Jail Facility and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
