Fire hits warehouse in Binondo, leaves P8-M worth of damage

Around P8 million worth of property was damaged in a fire that broke out inside a warehouse along Bambang Street in Barangay 254, Sta. Cruz, Manila, on Tuesday morning, Jan. 21.

Two firemen, aged 25 and 28, were injured while putting out the blaze. 

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at 11:36 a.m. and quickly escalated to the second alarm by 11:40 a.m. The fire was finally extinguished at 3:10 p.m.

Fire officials confirmed that all employees of the warehouse were able to evacuate safely.

The warehouse, owned by MM Lucky Multisales Corporation, contained fabric products as well as merchandise including solar items and candies.

Arson investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
