Dr. Minguita Padilla bares her plans for how to fix the country's 'broken system'

Dr. Minguita Padilla has a dream, and that’s to ride on her advocacy of Barangay Health and a more responsible PhilHealth, and secure a seat in the upcoming Congress. During a special merienda held at the residence of good friend Bambi R. Javelosa, Minguita spoke about the election process, the party list system, what she feels is wrong with PhilHealth, and how broke the system is. She aspired for this elected post in 2022 and fell short of realizing this dream. Asked to run again, she procrastinated on making a decision but was convinced by the argument that if candidates like her weren’t fielded, then we could only blame ourselves for the broken system we constantly complain about.

It was a responsive audience that afternoon; as for several of those gathered, the party list system is in itself, a big question mark. To hear about what’s happening in the PhilHealth from someone who’s been in the trenches, will always be informative. And if politics wasn’t on your mind, you’d have been happy to have dropped by, as everyone will swear by the reputation Bambi carries in terms of being a ‘food goddess’. The motion that ‘the spread she had prepared was a great one’, was passed unanimously!
