15 rape suspects in Caraga caught

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested 15 persons wanted for rape in the Caraga region on Friday, Jan. 17.

Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said seven were most wanted on the regional level.

The PRO 13-Regional Operations Division identified the suspects as Jef, 39; Adon, 49; Arn, 27; Kel, 42; Helit, 45; Mar, 18, and JR, 35.

Ometer said one suspect is wanted on the provincial and seven on the municipal, city, or station levels.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher N. Abrahano commended operating police units for the arrest of the suspects based on warrants issued by the courts.

“I commend the men and women of PRO 13 for the successful law enforcement operations,” he said. “Each arrest warrant served is a victory for the victims who deserve justice and for the communities longing for peace.”
