Marcos names new PH ambassador to Hungary, other new gov’t appointees


President Marcos has named Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Assistant Secretary Maria Elena Algabre as the newest Philippine ambassador to Hungary with concurrent jurisdiction over Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia.
 

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) released the names of the new appointees on Dec. 31, 2024.
 

Also included in the new DFA appointees were Marie Charlotte Tang as non-resident ambassador to Ethiopia and ambassador Kenya with concurrent jurisdiction over Congo, Malaw, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Comoros.
 

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) also welcomed Cynthia Paulino as a member of the Board of Directors to represent Olongapo City.
 

Eduardo Robles Jr. and Henry Yap were named undersecretaries of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
 

The President appointed numerous individuals to the National Prosecution Service of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in various capacities.
 

Meanwhile, Rene Diaz was appointed assistant secretary of the Department of National Defense (DND), while new appointees were also sent to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
 

Martin Marvin Diño is now the Presidential Legislative Liaison Officer II at the Office of the President (OP).
 

The United Coconut Planters Life Assurance Corporation of the Presidential Commission on Good Governance (PCGG) welcomed three new members of its Board of Directors.
