Did Netflix reveal the premiere date for ‘Squid Game’ season 3?


Netflix has started promoting “Squid Game” season 3, the third and final chapter of the hit Korean series, but did it also reveal its premiere date? 

On Jan. 1, a video previewing “Squid Game” season 3 was uploaded to the official Netflix account. 

It featured a new face, Chul-su, a counterpart doll of Young-hee used in the deadly game “Red Light, Green Light” in seasons 1 and 2.

At the time, the video included the phrase “Watch it on Netflix on June 27,” Korean media reported. 

However, the phrase has since been deleted. Netflix has yet to announce the airing date of “Squid Game” season 3, only stating that it will be released this year. 

In addition, another Korean media outlet reported that Leonardo DiCaprio will appear in “Squid Game” season 3 but Netflix dismissed it as a baseless rumor. 

“Squid Game” season 2 premiered with smashing success, ranking first on Netflix in 92 countries and territories. . 

Based on Netflix’s weekly Global Top 10 list from Dec. 23 to 29, its official ratings chart, “Squid Game” season 2, which premiered on Dec. 26, debuted at No. 1 on the non-English TV list with 68 million views or 487.6 million hours viewed.
