Scoot to launch direct flights to Iloilo City in April, offering twice weekly service

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is launching direct flights to Iloilo City, aiming to enhance connectivity and bolster tourism in the region.

In a statement, Leslie Thng, Scoot chief executive officer, said the new service is part of the airline's commitment to expanding its network and offering travelers access to more destinations at affordable prices.

Scoot's decision to add Iloilo City to its network is driven by the city's rich cultural heritage and growing appeal as a tourist destination.

Known for its Spanish-era churches and the vibrant Dinagyang Festival, Iloilo City provides a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.

The city's strategic location in the Visayas region also makes it an ideal starting point for travelers looking to explore other parts of the Philippines.

Flights to Iloilo City will commence on April 14, 2025, using the 112-seater Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.

Initially, the frequency will be twice weekly, increasing to four times weekly from June 2025 given Scoot's confidence in the growing demand for travel to Iloilo City.

The launch of these direct flights is expected to significantly impact tourism in Iloilo City and the surrounding areas. It will provide easier access for travelers from Singapore and other international destinations, boosting tourism revenue and stimulating the local economy.

In addition to the new Iloilo City service, Scoot also announced adjustments to its network, including the suspension of flights to Berlin and Jinan after their last flights on March 28 and Feb. 28, respectively.

Flights to Iloilo City are available for booking through Scoot's website, mobile app, and other channels.

One-way Economy Class fares start from SGD129, offering travelers an affordable way to experience the unique charm of Iloilo City.
